Eurotunnel is usually the preferred crossing for passengers travelling with pets because pets stay with you in the vehicle. Journey time from Schiphol to London is typically 6–8 hours. The Eurotunnel crossing ticket is charged separately.
Passengers are responsible for ensuring all pet travel documents are correct and valid before travel. Documents passengers may need include: ISO microchip, rabies vaccination, an AHC issued within 10 days of UK arrival, and for dogs, tapeworm treatment 24–120 hours before the UK border. Timing of tapeworm treatment is measured from administration to arrival at Folkestone — not from boarding at Schiphol.
